We are talking about business mobility, according to experts, the most transformative trend for the network of stores and businesses, since it affects and improves expectations, productivity and the way of completing transactions of three primary agents: company, worker and customer. This is according to the annual VMware State of Business Mobility Report: ‘State of Business Mobility2015‘. Before the end of the year, let’s take a look at what the outlook has brought us in terms of the implementation and progress of this discipline in all areas of the enterprise.

State of Enterprise Mobility 2015

GPS Tracking and Enterprise Mobility keys to success

The survey Gartner’s 2015 CIOsurvey, conducted among a wide sample of the most important IT managers, has made it clear that priorities and skills must be changed in system designs, since GPS location processes and business mobility must be the main concerns of any organization that intends to be visible in the business world of the 21st century. The truth is that the survey sponsored by the American consulting and research of technologies, makes it clear that in just five years, the period from 2015 to 2020, digital sales will experience a considerable increase, from 17% today to 38% expected by the end of the five-year period.

Out of Game

This growth will leave without a piece of the pie all those entrepreneurs who have not been able to get up to speed in terms of enterprise mobility by adapting their business models to the new IT. Observers are not mincing their words and recommend the implementation of CIOs and collective management organizations that are capable of adopting key strategic imperatives, without being able to avoid a change in the mobile mindset that is ready to respond to customer requirements. Despite this data and the recommendations that continue, VMware’s Enterprise Mobility Report reveals that there is a significant gap between organizations’ mobility goals and their ability to achieve them. Something that, at the very least, should sound concerning.

Approved in individual productivity

The reason is easy to understand in VMware’s opinion: most organizations have only been able to adopt individual productivity systems on a basic scale: applications, calendars, agendas, e-mail… In these areas, the businessman has willingly adhered to the needs of a dynamic and mobile commerce. However, when it comes to team productivity, things have evolved much less, leaving in diapers all the collaborative solutions that are essential to increase productivity at the margins that require the processes of enterprise mobility and GPS location.

Failure in collective performances

Even more troubling is the fact that according to the same report, few global enterprises have met the goals necessary to achieve maximum profitability in enterprise mobility, despite the fact that this process of change is unstoppable and imminent. The most encouraging thing is that according to VMware, the trend is changing upwards and it is expected that in the coming years the current ceiling of 20% of companies that have reached maturity in their processes of overhauling and redesigning infrastructure to adapt to the new times and a business model that needs wings through the network and not immobile ballast can be exceeded.
